Love Letter to Fall

HAPPY FALL!

It is officially Autumn,I love Autumn. Growing up, my favorite season was Winter because it is cozy and my birthday is in December. Growing older and wiser has made me realize that Fall is where it is at! The weather is perfect. September is full of sunny, warm (but not hot) days. There are rainy days. There are cloudy and 60 degree days. The trees are gorgeous; green along with yellow, orange, brown, and red.

Fall is so romantic. Summer is a gift, but since it is so rainy and grey for much of the year in the PNW, there is so much pressure to make the most of the summer weather. I find it exhausting. I like nights where I just sit at home and read my book or watch a movie. Its hard to feel good about this when it is 70 degrees and sunny till 9:30 pm. In the fall, there is a dreamy mix of inside and outside weather and activites: apple picking, fall walks, baking, cozy reading, cozy movie watching, pumpkin patches.

KNITTING IS SO FUN IN THE FALL. ITS SO FALL. Ugh, I love knitting. I miss it so. I still am not back to knitting full time, but my wrist have been feeling better, so hopefully I am back in action soon.

I hosted a Fall Feast yesterday to celebrate the Fall Equinox. I set up a beautiful table in the park. My friend and I made a feast: Foccacia, squash soup, apple cider, and pumpkin crumb cake. It was delish! We feasted, yapped, and pulled tarot. It was a lovely way to welcome fall.

I am still not 100% back from my depression era, but Fall is helping. Everyday I am noticing Fall and giving her a big hug. Trying to be present each day and notice how beautiful it is. Soaking up the sun and trees before we descend into the Bare and Dark Times.

Hello Fall, Goodbye Depression

Hello readers!

It's been a while. A dark cloud of depression descended upon me at the end of July and stuck around all through August. However, I have seen the light! Fall has fixed all!

IT IS SEPTEMBER! !!!!

The greatest season has begun, hello Autumn! This month has been busy and fulfilling, exhausting and exciting.

Adventures so far: I spent last week visiting my gf’s family in Cape Cod, which was beautiful and relaxing. This past weekend, I got together with friends to celebrate a birthday.

I have been knitting too hard and now my wrists and forearms hurt so I have to Stop Knitting and rest… this is the bane of my existence. All I want to do is knit!!

Out: Dramione (eternal love, but I am taking a break)

July Music Recap

Here are some stats relating to my listening habits last month.

My most listened to artists start off strong with the Queen herself, Olivia Dean. I saw her live in July and my obsession has been reignited!! This is followed up by Noah Kahan, his new album is so good. Number 3 is Sergei Prokofiev, which is funny. I listened to a lot of classical music this month while I was reading and I had a day or two where I put the Romeo and Juliet ballet score on repeat.

My number one most listened to album was The Great Divide: The Last of the Bugs, number two was The Art of Loving, and number 3 was Romeo and Juliette…. Quite a mirror with the artists here.

My top track has been Clair De Lune by Claude Debussy, which is my favorite classical track! Number two is Rein Me In by Sam Fender, featuring Queen Olivia Dean. I LOVE this track. I have been calling it the song of the summer since April. One of the most happy, springy, sunny, joyful, windows down, infectious songs ever. I would KILL to see this live at a festival or something. There is a 5 way tie for track 3. One of the songs is Jealous Type, by Doja cat, which has been such an ear worm for me lately and a great mood booster. The other four are ODean tracks off of The Art of Loving: Something Inbetween, Loud, Baby Steps, Nice To Each Other.
